Review:

Ready for Oktoberfest?

Then this is the book for you! From German recipes we know, to ones we don't, this book is a sound book on German cooking and the varied recipes that follow the seasons and what is fresh during them. From making Quark in your multi-cooker, to making plum butter (finally, a recipe that tastes like my great aunts!), to making your own seeded bread at home, to bringing back childhood memories of bologna salad sandwiches (my aunts ground the ingredient together for a sandwich spread) to finding out the secret seasoning for modern German street food (you gotta read the book to find out!), and even finding my mom's recipe for onion pie, this is a great German cookbook. In fact, the only thing missing was apple struedel! Perfect for keeping and gift giving this holiday season, dont let this authentic cookbook not make it to your kitchen!

About the Author:

Sophie Sadlermoved from Germany to the United States in 2009 and soon started to terribly miss the German food! She still longs for a nice weekend brunch with crusty Brötchen (rolls), Teilchen (pastries), Döner Kebab, and German cake and coffee time at 15 o’clock. So she decided to educate other Germany-missing friends by writing about German food and traditions in a fun way with easy-to-follow recipes.
