With Mother’s Day around the corner, it’s the perfect time to put Mom first, and give her a basket of Éban’s Bakehouse Gluten-Free bread, cookies and baking flour,  for her enjoyment and her sensitivities. Plus, unlike other gluten-free products, they are tasty enough for the entire family to enjoy!

Éban’s Bakehouse items
We were sent a gift basket of various Éban’s Bakehouse items, including cookies, bread, rolls, and flour, to enjoy and check out. Unfortunately they arrived when we were both sick and in and out of hospital, so we ended up delayed in trying out all of the products. Éban’s Bakehouse started out of the owners apartment, making quality gluten free bread, for sale at local farmer's markets, before branching out to their first retail bakery, as demand for their quality tasting breads increased. Their goal was simple: change the idea that gluten-free had to mean dry, crumbly bread that was barely edible. If you've ever eaten store bought gluten-free baked goods and breads, you know that is the common occurrence! Now with their online bakery as well as being sold locally in 16 states, their goal is simple: No gluten. No regrets. Happy eating!

Éban’s Bakehouse cookies
Of course, the cookies had to be the first to get sampled! From Chocolate Chip to Crispy Pecan Shortbread, we found cookies that were anything but dry! Miss Grace claimed White Chocolate Cherry Oatmeal as her favorite, while I ha to admit the  simplicity of their Peanut Butter cookie won me over! The cookies are really good sized and I found I could only eat half, as they are also filling! They average around 230 calories for the entire cookie, and are made with organic natural products, making those good for you calories! They offer a sampler box with all 5 varieties (including their Vegan Chocolate Chip, which was another wonderful surprise!), that is great for gift giving this Mother's Day or for birthday delights!

Éban’s Bakehouse rolls
Second up was their baked goods: bread rolls and hamburger buns. As you can see, the rolls are decently sized and nicely dense with lots of air pockets for pull about yumminess! Finding gluten-free rolls that don't taste like cardboard has been a mission of ours, and these are definitely tasty! Made with brown rice flour, they have a slightly malty, nutty flavor, that make them great with anytime of special dinner, or weekend gathering. The hamburger buns may seem small, compared to traditional store bought buns, but honestly we're making smaller turkey burgers, so they were perfectly sized for us! We really liked them with a bit of butter and quick grilled for extra tastiness!

Of course the main star of the basket, was the original gluten-free bread! With 6 varieties, we each again found our favorites pretty quickly!

ebans bakehouse raisin bread
I love the smaller slices-they are so much better for breakfast and sandwiches on the go! I was hooked on their cinnamon raisin bread- it really is hard to have a good quality loaf in gluten-free, and theirs is near perfection. All you need is a light smear of butter, for perfect breakfast sharing!

The sandwich bread pretty is pretty yummy- especially when you make use of their free, included toaster bag! While it protects your gluten-free products against cross-contact, in your toaster, it's also perfect for traveling with your bread items! BUT the real fun is using the bag to make a toasted cheese sandwich just by placing a slice of cheese between two pieces of bread and slipping it into the bag, toasting it until golden brown and melty! The kids will LOVE this idea, but so will Mom!

It can be used over and over up to 100 times with just a simple wipe clean using a damp cloth, making it a great item to have. As much fun and yumminess, as the sandwich bread provided,  Grace claimed the Cranberry Walnut bread as her favorite- she's super picky and lately been on a sourdough kick, but gladly would have eaten this variety everyday!

The best part of all these products above, is that they can be easily kept in the freezer until needed! No more gluten-free products going bad after 5 days because no one went through them! You just pull out what you need, and thaw or bake! Easy peasy! And you know how much we LOVE easy in our house!

Ebans Bakehouse Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend

The real gem of the package for me was the Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend though! Crafted by the team at Éban’s, this flour was designed to finally make gluten-free baking feel effortless. It works cup-for-cup in any recipe (!!) , delivering the texture, structure and flavor people expect from traditional flour, without gluten.
Made with a thoughtful blend of oat, tapioca, brown rice and sorghum flours, it’s clean, non-GMO and kosher with no artificial preservatives or chalky starches that often plague gluten-free baking. The goal is simple: create a flour that performs beautifully in real recipes, from cookies and cakes to breads, pancakes and beyond.

We used the flour to make some carrot cake cupcakes and both of us were pretty surprised- they tasted just like my mom's recipe. There really was NO difference in taste! BUT, we knew we could eat them with no stomach issues and that made a HUGE difference to us! Coming in 2 lb size bags, we will be keeping this product in our pantry all year round for all of our baking needs, it has surpassed the brand we've been using for years!!! Be sure to check out the recipes on Éban’s website, for some great gluten-free ways to use this flour too!

We are 100% on these great Gluten-free products and once you try them, you will be too! It is so hard to find really great tasting gluten-free products but Éban’s has knocked it out, and offers you a full range of items, to make those with gluten sensitivities very happy! So check them out for yourself, or give them as gifts- your recipient will be so happy with your thoughtfulness! And don't forget to sign up for their mail list for notice of new varieties!
