Synopsis:
It’s the week of Halloween—or as they say in Scotland, All Hallows' Eve—and the town of Sea Isle is full of spooky celebrations. Dr. Emilia McRoy loves being part of her new community and is eager to help out in any way she can. But the festivities are interrupted when she and her assistant, Abigail, find a dead body in a haunted house. A real one. They’re too late to save the victim, but they’ll do whatever it takes to find his killer.
There’s just one problem: There are too many suspects.
Constable Ewan would prefer the good doctor and her friends stay out of the investigations, but that isn’t how Dr. Em rolls. As she and her gang investigate, they realize the killer is searching for something—and has no problem murdering anyone who gets in the way of finding it.

If you haven't figured out already if you've been reading this series, the book seem to follow the different events that happened in Sea Isle during the year. In this case it's the Halloween festivities. As Dr McIlroy has settled in, made friends and a pseudo boyfriend, she's had her share of homicides and being the corner. While working the haunted house she's not expecting to find an actual dead body however, especially one that's been killed with one of their props. Even though they're not suspects they feel a rush to help solve the case. With not enough suspects and a body who isn't who he said he was, things are going to be a little tricky. A good character study for the series, this one has the team working together, as a team, and showcasing each character strengths. The series just keeps getting better and better, and if you haven't checked this one out you should with this entry.
