Review:
To be honest I haven't read all of the latest books in this series (this is book 31), because they sort of got this formulaic and it seemed to be the same drama in each book, and do to be honest I couldn't understand why they had to travel away for Christmas when they were in love with their hometown and did not seem to want to make that part of the you're special there as well. So I was surprised that this was going to be the final book in the series already. The book does a good job in tying up all the loose ends that have occurred during the series and giving you the explanations for why they happened. Ultimately the book is about good versus evil, and what you put out into the world comes back on to you. For a long time fans of the series I think you'll like how everything ends. Well it's meant to be a standalone, I don't think it should be. There's too much that it's tying up, that you need the backstory for from the other books to truly understand why the characters are acting like they are when everything gets resolved. I look Carolyn's books as cozy so I'll be interested to see what her next series will be after this one.
