Synopsis:

Since the fateful day in Dallas on November 22, 1963, journalists, historians, and investigators have examined the official record of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, yet a clear and conclusive explanation has remained elusive. Until now.

Synthesizing decades of research with original investigative work, Rob Reiner, David Hoffman, and Dick Russell reconstruct the assassination with scholarly rigor and narrative urgency. As the conspiracy unfolds, we find a botched autopsy, two compromised investigations, numerous suspicious deaths, and countless cover-ups within the very institutions charged with uncovering the truth. This book assembles the long-scattered fragments of the investigation into a coherent and riveting case and finally decodes America’s greatest murder mystery.

At a time when political violence and distrust in the government are reaching new highs, this answer—and the reasons why—may be more important than ever.

Review:

If you've listened to the author's podcast, then you know that they have been researching the theories behind this book for quite a while and it made sense for them to put it all in a book, and lay it out in total. Anyone with common sense has always known that things were not as they seemed that fateful day in Dallas, so many years ago. With the advent of modern technology, things just don't add up. As eyewitnesses are opening up, sometimes literally on their deathbeds, families are coming into possession of new statements and stories, that don't line up with the 'party line' that the Warren Commission stated as fact. The author's go through all of this, and show you what was wrong, inconclusive but taken as fact, and just downright wrong. Then they get into the reasons why 3 main groups wanted JFK gone, and the reasons for them. It's hard to take offense- Kennedy made serious enemies with all the changes he was making, and those people had the ability to plan a covert operation, and use the government agencies to not only help cover it up, but to put out so much disinformation that the public no  longer knew what to believe. There are questions that may never be answered, but the book lays out the probable solution that matches the info and evidence. Maybe one day or descendants will get all the documents uncensored and discover just how deep the conspiracy was. It's a lesson to learn, because history has a bad circle of repeating itself. Definately pick this book up for history lovers this holiday season, it's easy to get into and will leave them with a lot of questions....
