Recipe Weekend Pt II: Product Review: Wholly Wholesome Chocholate Pie Crust

wholly wholesome logo

Yesterday I spoke with you about Wholly Wholesome and their wonderful graham cracker pie shell. Today I'm going to talk with you about their sublime CHOCOLATE pie shell!

wholly wholesome chocolate pie shellLast weekend we used the Chocolate Pie Shell which is the equivalent of crushed up Oreo type chocolate cookies made into a graham cracker style pie shell, for ye old Chcolate Dream Pie!  The pie shell is made with unbleached wheat flour, organic cane sugar, cocoa, organic palm and safflower oils, whole wheat flower, molasses and natural vanilla. Which means it's GOOD for you!

Like the graham cracker crust, we found that the chocolate pie shell was not hard, but crumbled nicely when cut, staying together just enough to be served and to be eaten. It was just as if you had made it by hand! These pie shells have won us over- they are our new pie shells of choice!

I wanted to share with you some of the excellent recipes that Wholly Wholesome has on their website as well!
