How DO You KNOW Your REALLY a MOM????

Simple:

1. Work 12 hr shift Christmas Eve Eve night, get up and wrap last of YOU KNOW WHO's packages, work on cleaning house, get maybe 6 hours worth of sleep before

2. Working 12 hr shift on Christmas Eve, come home and have to put out those YOU KNOW WHO packages, finish cleaning house and straightening up as family will be there in less than 3 hours. Then assist Grandma in finishing Gingerbread House that has "issues" the night before (THANKS so much Create a Treat Company, we WILL be having a discussion this next week on quality control issues you have). Then after downing another cup of java, say oh well and skip the 1 hr nap to enjoy the sunrise with mom=quality time 101. Then get child up before 9am as she could NOT go to sleep as she was WAAAY to wound up. Have child attached like an octopus to me as she is so excited with all her 'loot' she can't decide what to do next and is having a mini nerve attack. Finally pry her loose to squeals of delight that SANTA remembered her horsee (though hobby horse apparently seems 5 times too big than when 'similar' horse was in the store-then she was all over it). Once presents are done, and front room looks like Toys R Us exploded there, then it's time to make breakfast for all. Waffles, bacon, scrambled ham, cheese n eggs and coffee. YUMMY. Then clean up, help daughter with putting together toys/installing needed missing batteries. More squeals. Then on to starting Christmas dinner. 4 hours of making, cooking, setting table and bringing it all there, without great prep and direction from Mom. WHEW I AM NOW TIRED! Dad, bless him, takes kitchen duty after dinner. Kiddo is STILL wound to the gills. Screaming fit when grandma and grandpa leave. Then onto bath (thanks dad, I was seeing double and triple about then and java had WORN OFF). Off to bed, darling daughter wants to cuddle and I fell asleep before she did! Well, it has been over 26 hrs since I'd had sleep....

Yeah you all KNOW the look..................................................Welcome to Motherhood 101!
