Book Review and Giveaway: Democrats are Dumb, a Children's Guide by Mark Stephens

The title of this book caught my eye and I thought it would be cute, with elections all over the place, to help explain some things to kiddo.

Synopsis: With tongue in cheek - but not too firmly -the author offers simple, but humorous reviews of the current political landscape in a witty nursery rhyme-like style that will please children and adults alike. Topics include religion, terrorism, environment, the President, politicians and Democrats in general.


Some examples from Democrats Are Dumb:

"They think free speech is a real gem...
but only if you agree with them."

"Our soldiers fight in sun and snow,

then Democrats let the terrorists go"

"Khrushchev said, '.without firing a shot.'

To elect more Democrats was a Communist plot."

About the Author: Mark W. Stephens is a retired Detective with over twenty-six years of law enforcement experience. After working in Houston as a patrol officer, an undercover narcotics and vice officer, and an environmental investigator, Mark was hand-picked and recruited into an elite investigative division that followed up on allegations of political corruption. Mark ultimately sacrificed his police career while trying to expose the corrupt activities of his own police chief. Readers will be able to hear that fascinating story in his upcoming book, Never Afraid.

Review: This book was not what I was expecting! I definitely would NOT put it as a kids book, as I think it is over the head of most kids. Older teens and adults will enjoy the humor, especially if they are anti-

Democrat!
