Today's giveaway is another excellent crafter and artist from the Handmade Louisiana group! Every time I look at Dixie's Rhinestone Fetish website, I find at least 6 more designs I want to buy!


Her speciality is hand designed rhinestone transfers that you can purchase VERY reasonably and put on your own shirts. Or you an purchase the design and shirt combo- she has t-shirts and tanks available! Plus she has apparel already made! I love that she does NOT charge you any extra or a set-up fee for custom designs- you can make some unique birthday, anniversary, reunion or wedding presents at a really great cost!


About Dixie: 
A New Orleans native, as a teenager, Dixie worked in her parent’s jewelry store. She graduated from The University of New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree, and her masters in art. During her days in college, Dixie realized that she loved the retail business, so she opened D. L. Creations in Metairie prior to Katrina. D.L Creations provides women the opportunity to shop at a store that has all of the fun stuff women love, jewelry, purses, t-shirts and accessories. Business was going well for Dixie, and then Katrina paid a visit. 


The business was completely destroyed. With the holiday season just around the corner, Dixie realized that she had to get her business up and running as soon as possible. Dixie moved the store to another location, and opened again for business by Christmas. D.L. Creations now also has Sterling Silver, gold jewelry, custom designed jewelry by Dixie, jewelry repair, handbags, sandals and clothing. Dixie is now studying gemology to further her career in jewelry design. Dixie looks forward seeing women everyday in her store:  4955 W. Napoleon Ave. in Metairie, LA.


Dixie's Irish designs are perfect for St Patrick's Day / Irish Festivals, while her Dance/Cheer designs are filled with spirit (love her Cheer MOM shirt!), while her religious designs are simply spectacular!  Her transfers can be applied to any fabric that can withstand 300F.  These include cotton, wool, lycra, stretch velour, nylon, denim, linen, and polyester.  Basically, if you can iron it, then you can apply transfers to it. AND you CAN wash your items in the washing machine (inside out on delicate setting)
