Product Review and Giveaway: Blamtastic Lip Balms

Is there anything young kids love better than lip balms? They are pocket sized and a better option than lipstick for little girls. Boys are always outside and definitely can use the lip protection! So when you find a lip balm that is made BY kids, for kids, and good for them? You know you want it for your kids!

Blamtastic has been in business since 2007. That year,  Retha Sandler read that only 12 of the businesses on the Fortune 500 list were owned by women.  Being the mother of two daughters, she wanted to ensure they knew they could achieve anything, so she challenged them to come up with an idea for a business.  The girls, Lily now 12 and Melanie now 10, decided they wanted to make lip balm.  Blamtastic was born. 

And Blamtastic IS different! First and foremost, no animal testing is allowed.  Unlike their competitors, the Sandlers decided petroleum (a form of crude oil) would not be used in their lip balm.  Another ingredient banned from Blamtastic was parabens, synthetic preservatives that mimic estrogen and can cause hormone disruption (WHO knew these were in the lip balms we were giving our kids?).  Plus a must for the lip balm line was SPF 15.  The Sandlers also decided to sacrifice some of their profits and keep the manufacturing of Blamtastic in the United States! GO USA! 

For the girls, there are seven flavors including O.M.G. (Oh my grape!), Cherry-Nilla,  Sassyfrassu RootBeer, Lemon-liscious and Wow Wow Valentine. Boys also have seven flavors choices, including Brain Squeeze Sour Cherry, Radioactive Lemon Lime, grand Slam Bubble Gum  and Alien Invasion Green Apple.  

Blam sleeves ensure your Blamtastic lip balm  is always handy.  The sleeves hook on to backpacks, notebooks, purses, belt loops and zipper pulls.  The balms are easy to pull out and kids love them!

Kiddo LOVED the Grape- she opened it as soon as it came in and said "OOOO Grape". We also tried the Cherry-Nilla. Both are VERY strong smelling- but kids LOVE that. AND if a kid Likes the smell/feel/taste, they are more likely to USE the lip balm. Kiddo doesn't like leaving the house without hers! AND I feel like a better mother for giving her a natural lip balm that is not harmful in any way!
