Product Review and Giveaway: Shape Collage Photo Program

As you know if you've read this blog for any length of time, you know I love photography! So when I had the opportunity to review a new program that allows you to take ALL those digital photos you have (is it me, or does it seem we literally have THOUSANDS more pictures of our kids, than our parents had of us? Is it a good thing? I"m still undecided!) and make some unique art pieces on your own computer, I was very interested!


ShapeCollage.com allows you to quickly make memorable personalized collages and transform unused digital photos into memorable gifts or keepsakes (these collages can easily be printed and framed).  There are 4 set shapes, and then if you have Shape Pro you can select ANY shape you want (a cat, horse or even a car!) to really personalize your projects!


A heart shaped collage is a great way to show your love for family members on special occasions like Valentine’s Day, weddings or Anniversaries! Personally I think it was my favorite shape!


I was given the opportunity to preview the Shape Pro package. It was VERY easy to download the program in about 2 minutes and start using it immediately! They provide you with a great 'how to' video that only runs for about 2 minutes. The process is VERY simple- you can move photos one by one, or as an ENTIRE folder (LOVE that!) into the program, then select the shape you want, how close you want the pictures together (the ones on left are at about a 89 set). Then you set the number of photos in the collage, if you want auto collage or if you want to add pictures yourself, click make collage and waa-la, in less than a minute you have a very unique piece of art! The only reason I have the two blank spots above was that I deleted 2 photos at the last minute and forgot to change the number of photos in the collage! 


I tried some different collage with the same photos, so you could see how they looked. I figured the bright colors would really showcase the forms as well. The circle collage is above and the letter shaped one is to the left.I did find that the auto collage was great and you can retry over and over, you just save every time, til you get the right one you want, then you can go back and change the ones you don't like! AND they have a new Facebook app, so you can put your collage into your Facebook page! WOOHOO!


These would be gorgeous gifts for teachers for the end of the year, using photos of the entire class, one by one, plus group shots! Or for a coach (basketball or softball shape anyone?). 


And you might want to think ahead to Christmas! Wouldn't these make wonderful gifts for grandparents? You could scan in pictures of your kids art work, along with your photos and get some really unique and individual art pieces to give as gifts!
