Courtesy of being one of the Media Friendly Bzz Agents on our promotion of John Grisham and The Confession, we were sent a copy of his NEW book, The Litigators, as a gift!
Mom was thrilled to be able to read it and she read it in one day! Yes, she DOES read fast! LOL
It will come back around for giveaway as part of our Top Shelf soon, but right now friends are reading it! In the meantime, here's our review!
Synopsis:
Review: John Grisham is one of America's favorite story tellers! This new book is a movie waiting to happen- it is just THAT good!
The book starts off a little slow, but if you hang on, it will be well worth it, as Grisham takes his writing to a new level! From the downtrodden lawyers office by the marriage parlor to the Federal Court with the 8 high powered attorneys against them, the characters fight a harsh battle. Big drug companies have for years intimidated the 'average Joe', and this book reveals just HOW they do it! The characters hang on and come through the tunnel with a new lease on life, for all of them! If Ryan Gosling doesn't play David Sims in the movie, I'll be shocked, as the character reads as if written for him! This is a great Grisham novel, for even those who aren't Grisham fans!
About the Author: "A graduate of Mississippi State University and Ole Miss Law School, John Grisham obtained his law degree in 1981 and practiced law for about 10 years, specializing in criminal defense and personal injury litigation. He was elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives in 1983 and served until 1990. He gave up his law practice to write full-time. He began writing in 1984, and three years later finished his first novel, "A Time To Kill". And the rest is history! "

I have not read a lot of Grisham and was captivated with the story. Read it in two sittings and looking forward to his next.
