About the Author
By the age of twenty-two, Jackie Warner was inspired to pursue a career in fitness and nutrition after training a few close friends with dramatic life-changing results. Within a year, Jackie opened her first health center, Lift. The revolutionary fitness facility was the first health club in Southern California to accept health insurance for exercise.

From 2004 to 2009, Jackie owned and operated her next gym, Sky Sport & Spa. Employing Jackie's complete approach to fitness, She then went onto host a show on Bravo TV and became a national fitness star.

Review2 years ago I reviewed Jackie's previous book, This is Why Your Fat!! In many ways, this is a follow up, and expanding on the ideas from her first book.  She guarantees you will loose 10 pounds by following her strict 950 calorie diet of only 10 foods, and following her circuit training of exercise. If you need a last minute, have to drop those pounds quickly, then this is probably the diet for you.


Otherwise, she has some sound principals (drinking water frequently curbs cravings because you don't want FOOD- you are dehydrated and need water!), great exercises (with photos that show you what the form should be) and finding your set point (where your body is comfortable at), so you don't yo-yo with no reason. But I think this is not a diet that most people can keep up with- it is very strict and if you don't like some of the initial 10 foods (ie broccoli and spinach), you will have problems. 


Also if you come down from say 1700 calories a day to 950, your body may think you are going into starvation and STOP weight loss after the initial loss. Most nutritionists don't recommend going below 1100-1200 calories, and that you should reduce by 500 calories at a time. So this diet may work great for 10 days, but I would question how well it can work after that, when the body reacts to it.


BUT if you need a 10 day diet, or you need to see immediate weight loss, before you swap into a more sensible and healthy diet plan, then this plan/book is a way to get quick started!
