Righto! I TOTALLY understand!
Having had a child housebound for 7 days, I've already heard the dreaded "I'm Bored!"....I can feel your pain!
And so does Jane Porter!
I ADORE her Brennans book series because a) it is set in the San Francisco area (my old stomping grounds) and b) because the books are honest looks at real life family dramas and how people cope with terminal illness of one beloved figure of the family.

So Jane understands having kids at home over the 2 1/2 month long Summer break can leave mom frazzled and screaming to be 'taken away'. And even if you can't really get away on vacation, she has an idea on how to make it seem like one at home! She has 'blessed' this blog with a wonderful giveaway to give mom that needed break, and vacation feeling!
The surprise gift basket of goodies will include some of Jane’s books (copy of The Good Woman and The Good Daughter, and maybe a backlist copy or two), maybe a book from one of Jane's favorite authors, a beach towel, a beach bag, water bottle, some beach/pool treats and a Starbucks gift card.

ReplyDeleteMy sister has 4 children (8,7 and 4 who are boys and a 23 month old daughter). The niece has a heart health issue and the boys are all energizer bunnies.
My brother helps my sister and he also helps my parents who have health issues.
I'm a stay at home mom to three youngins and could def use a break!

ReplyDeleteMy 10yo has her last day of school today. My 7yo has until next Wednesday. My husband just fired his manager so he now has to work in his own store. We had lots of plans that just got cancelled because of it. Ugh!
