I love how simple this book is, yet how thorough. ALL the basics of carving a pumpkin are here. PLUS they have options for the younger set, who you don;t want holding any carving tools! I love the twin pumpkins, where you slice one open and add carved teeth! Kids can draw on the eyes and mouth with sharpie marker, making it easier for little ones.
Older kids can tackle carving with a linoleum cutter to get 3D effects, while elementary age can learn how to carve and add simple lights! Plus they have additional decor ideas, that mom might fight perfect for sprucing up the mantle!
Sometimes simplicity IS the key- start with the basics and once you've mastered them, then you can move on to more complicated designs, and this book will help you do just that! This book is a super buy at under $5!
