Looking for something DIFFERENT for the Easter basket this year?
Tehn look no further than Carole P. Roman books and collections this year!

As you know, we love Carole P. Roman here on Bless Their Hearts Mom, so I wanted to remind you about the many wonderful titles from her collection of amazing titles, that allow kids to not only explore new cultures and history, but also share in some great adventures! Plus, they're education- shhh don't tell the kids! LOL.

Here's a reminder aboout the many different books available:

IF you were me and lived in ...collection

The "If You Were Me and Lived in..." Cultural series is perfect for kids ages 4 -9, though older kids liek Miss Grace can still find them interesting. You can use them for all age groups and add activities for older kids, like cooking some of the included food, or finding out more about parts of the history. We shared our books with Miss Grace's old school library, so more kids could enjoy these fun books, and learn some new languages along the way too! It's fun to pick books about where your ancestors are from, as a way to get kids interested in their family history also!

history collection

The "If You Were Me and Lived in (historical period)..." collection is aimed more at kids ages 8-15. We have used these the last 2 years of homeschooling! There is SO much info packed into EACH one of these books, yet kids gravitate to them, as they read like a story. From The Vikings, to the Dark Ages, to Mali, Ancient Greece, or the Renaissance, kids will get a sense of how history has changed, yet each periord had similar features- lifestyles, foods, art- that sets them apart from other time periods! Miss Grace has LOVED this new series, and it's probably her favorite one of all of Carole's collections!

Captain No Beard collection

The Captain No Beard series is aimed at kids ages 3-8  Filled with fun, adventure, strong male and female character (based on Carole's grandchildren!) - each one features an important lesson to learn, like sharing, stranger dangers, asking for help, bullying. And all speak to the wonders of using your imagination.

Bedtime Stories collection'

Also for younger readers, Carole has her Bedtime series, featuring some wonderful books to help young children (2-8) to dream amazing dreams, and to provide wonderful books for bedtime reading!

One to Ten  Teaches kids about how to evaluate a problem, by giving it a number, putting it into the right perspective, and then to see the brighter side.

Rocket-Bye is Carole's love letter to her grandsons about an amazing trip to the stars.

Can a Princess be a Firefighter? is Carole's love letter to her granddaughters, and one that really esonated with Miss Grace! With it's theme of "You can be anything you want to be," it's a book about reaching for your dreams and not letting people put you done because of gender!

Oh Susannah Books

Carole's latest books are aied at older kids, ages 7-12!

Oh Susannah- Born from Carole reading with her grandson every night and him asking for longer books, these short chapter books are very easy to read.

It's in the Bag is about stuffing problems away rather then dealing with them and learning to ask for help when you need it.

Things that Go Bump- is a story that deals with all kinds of fear and not letting it take over your life. Mentions Halloween.

So there you go- Culture, History, Space, Pirates, Careers, Morale Lessons, overcoming Fears, Carole knows what your kids WANT to read about!  By giving you Children's Books, with older chapter books, these book collections can grow with ALL of your kids (grandkids)!

So keep them in mind while shopping for last minute additions to the Easter baskets this weekend!
